We are seeking a highly motivated biologist to join our team in Basking Ridge, NJ and contribute to the development of cutting-edge microfluidic systems for studying virus-bacteria interactions. The successful candidate will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, chemists, and biologists to design, build, and test microfluidic devices that allow for the precise manipulation and analysis of bacterial and viral populations.
Biologist Responsibilities:
Design, build, and test microfluidic devices for studying virus-bacteria interactions
Develop and optimize protocols for culturing and manipulating bacteria and viruses in microfluidic environments
Use microscopy and other imaging techniques to visualize bacterial and viral populations in microfluidic devices
Collaborate with engineers and chemists to develop new microfluidic technologies for studying virus-bacteria interactions
Analyze data and communicate results to team members and collaborators
Contribute to the preparation of scientific manuscripts and grant proposals
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Biology or related field
- Strong background in microbiology and virology
- Experience with microfluidic systems and devices
- Proficiency in microscopy and other imaging techniques
