Molecular Virology Technician

In this role, you will focus on performing established wet-laboratory assay protocols, recording data, transferring new assay protocols, monitoring laboratory inventory, and supporting the maintenance of established workflows. Successful applicants must follow strict laboratory protocols and work within a compliance-driven environment. This position involves extensive hands-on work in a BSL-2+ laboratory environment, handling infectious samples (e.g., HIV, HBV, HCV). Therefore, maintaining safe working conditions and adhering to required PPE and biosafety procedures are essential.

Essential Laboratory Skills:
Proficient in pipetting, especially in aseptic and molecular assay environments
Hands-on experience with basic molecular biology techniques, including nucleic acid isolation and PCR
Motivated self-starter with the ability to learn and execute new laboratory techniques
Ability to maintain detailed laboratory notes and documentation
Proficiency in MS Office

Education and Experience Requirements:
AS in Biology or a related field with a minimum of 1 year of laboratory experience; OR
BS in Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biotechnology, or a related field
