Job Description:
As an AI Prompt Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, refining, and optimizing prompts to enhance the performance and usability of AI models, particularly large language models (LLMs). You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, machine learning engineers, and product managers, to create prompts that enable AI systems to generate accurate, relevant, and contextually appropriate responses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and test effective prompts for AI models to improve their performance across various applications, including natural language processing (NLP), conversational AI, and content generation.
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to understand model capabilities and limitations, and tailor prompts to achieve desired outcomes.
• Analyze and iterate on prompt performance, using metrics and user feedback to refine and optimize results.
• Develop best practices and guidelines for prompt engineering to ensure consistency and scalability across projects.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI, NLP, and prompt engineering techniques, and apply this knowledge to improve our systems.
• Work with product teams to integrate prompt-driven AI solutions into user-facing applications, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to prompt effectiveness, model behavior, and output quality.
• Document and communicate prompt engineering processes, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Linguistics, Cognitive Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience working with AI models, particularly large language models (e.g., GPT, BERT, etc.).
• Strong understanding of natural language processing (NLP) techniques and principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively about how to structure prompts for optimal results.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, and experience with AI/ML frameworks and tools.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with user-centered design principles and a focus on delivering intuitive and effective AI-driven solutions.
• Experience with A/B testing, data analysis, and performance optimization is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in conversational AI, chatbots, or virtual assistants.
• Knowledge of ethical AI practices and bias mitigation techniques.
• Familiarity with reinforcement learning from human feedback (RLHF) or similar approaches.
• A portfolio or examples of previous prompt engineering work is highly desirable.
