Sr Food Science Engineer
As a Sr Food Science Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our research and development efforts, focusing on fermentation processes, dairy products, and lactose-related innovations. You will be responsible for leading projects, developing new products, improving existing formulations, and implementing cutting-edge techniques to enhance our food production processes.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and development activities in the field of food science, with a specific focus on fermentation, dairy products, and lactose.
- Lead projects from concept to commercialization, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.
- Design and optimize fermentation processes, leveraging your expertise to enhance yields and quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including scientists, engineers, and production teams, to develop and implement new formulations and processes.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, scientific advancements, and regulatory requirements related to food science.
- Analyze data, conduct sensory evaluations, and perform quality control tests to ensure product consistency and compliance.
- Troubleshoot production issues, identify areas for improvement, and propose innovative solutions.
- Participate in technology transfer activities and provide technical support to production teams during scale-up and commercialization.
- Mentor and train junior team members, sharing your knowledge and expertise.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in food science research and development, with a focus on fermentation, dairy products, and lactose.
- Strong knowledge of fermentation processes, dairy technology, and lactose utilization.
- Proven track record of successfully leading projects and delivering results.
- Experience with formulation development, ingredient functionality, and process optimization.
Preferred:
- Ph.D. in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with scale-up and commercialization of food products.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and food safety standards.
- Familiarity with sensory evaluation techniques and consumer insights.
