Lab Manager

Seeking a highly skilled Lab Manager to oversee the daily operations of our laboratory. The ideal candidate should have experience in managing a Biosafety Level 2 (BSL2) laboratory and be familiar with vacuum chambers. The candidate should have strong leadership and organizational skills, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Role:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the laboratory
• Ensure that laboratory activities are conducted in accordance with BSL2 protocols and safety procedures
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure that it is properly calibrated and functional
• Develop and implement laboratory procedures, protocols, and quality control measures
• Coordinate laboratory activities with other departments and stakeholders
  Manage laboratory supplies and inventory
• Train laboratory staff on laboratory procedures, safety protocols, and equipment use
• Ensure that laboratory records are accurate and up-to-date
• Troubleshoot problems with laboratory equipment and processes

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in managing a BSL2 laboratory
• Familiarity with vacuum chambers and associated equipment
• Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and procedures
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Experience with laboratory information management systems (LIMS)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
