As an experienced Manager of EHS, you will be responsible for managing environmental programs to comply with federal, state, and local EH&S regulatory requirements with a specific emphasis on air quality. You will conduct air quality analyses, assess regulatory compliance, perform regulatory applicability evaluations, and prepare technical documents.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE
Reviews data and submits weekly and monthly Air Emissions compliance reports
Tracks Air Emissions Data daily, prepares reports, and reviews post operating day air emissions data for compliance
Prepares Title V Semi-Annual Monitoring Report, Excess Emissions and CEMS Downtime Reports
Performs and completes environmental related activities and tasks on time, and maintains and updates environmental records accordingly
Prepares all regulatory required environmental permits, forms, plans and documents
Develops and submits new or modified CEMS Maintenance, Monitoring or QA/QC Plans to AQMD and/US EPA
Reviews environmental permits and plans (e.g., Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures and Storm water pollution prevention), monitors wastewater permit requirements, tracks hazardous materials and manifests hazardous waste from operations for off-site treatment and disposal
Oversees Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS) data acquisition and conducts various CEMS QA/QC tests, Linearity Tests and monitors audit requirements
Submits source test protocols as required and obtains and monitors outside services to conduct source tests.
Reviews and submits source test results. Performs AQMD permit review and renewal,, and makes modifications as necessary
Prepares Green House Gas Emission Reports
DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or another related field required
3-plus years of experience in Air Quality Compliance (Title V permit and MDEQ rules)
Experience in project management, client management and proposal writing or the ability to rapidly evolve into these areas is a plus
Working knowledge of the appropriate regulatory authorities and regulations such as Green House Gas (GHG), Title V, Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD), New Source Review (NSR), Best Available Control Technology (BACT), Lowest Achievable Emissions Rate (LAER), New Source Performance Standard (NSPS) and Maximum Achievable Control Technology (MACT), required
