Microfluidics Engineer

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Microfluidics Engineer to join their team.

The Microfluidics Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing microfluidic devices and systems for a variety of applications in the fields of biology, chemistry, and materials science. The successful candidate will have a strong background in microfluidics, including design, fabrication, and testing of microfluidic devices and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and optimize microfluidic devices and systems for various applications.
• Conduct experiments and perform tests to evaluate microfluidic devices and systems.
• Develop and implement new microfluidic fabrication techniques.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate microfluidic devices into larger systems.
• Analyze experimental data and provide insights into the design of microfluidic devices and systems.
• Communicate results and findings to the team and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. or M.S. in Microfluidics, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with microfluidic design, fabrication, and testing.
• Strong skills in numerical simulations and data analysis.
• Knowledge of microfabrication techniques, such as photolithography, soft lithography, and microfluidic chip bonding.
• Familiarity with microfluidic characterization techniques, such as microscopy, flow cytometry, and droplet-based assays.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with microfluidic systems for biological and chemical applications.
• Experience with microfluidic droplet-based assays and high-throughput screening.
• Familiarity with microfluidic device integration into larger systems.
• Experience in programming languages, such as MATLAB, Python, or LabVIEW.
• Experience with 3D CAD design software.
