Safety Manager

We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to join our plant operations team in Memphis, TN. The Safety Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety and environmental programs to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies. The Safety Manager will also be responsible for training and motivating employees to follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain safety and environmental programs to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies
• Train and motivate employees to follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment
• Conduct safety and environmental audits, assessments, and inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions
• Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and permits
• Monitor and report on safety and environmental performance metrics
• Develop and manage the EHS budget
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure that safety and environmental considerations are incorporated into all aspects of plant operations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field
• Experience in EHS management in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of applicable safety and environmental regulations
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification preferred
