Senior Cloud Software Engineer Telecommute 

Perm Remote!

You will work within a multi-disciplined engineering team consisting of electronics engineers, firmware engineers, software engineers, programmers and scientists focusing on developing proof-of-concepts aimed at creating new and improved products and solutions for our customers.

Architect and rapidly design/develop applications and solutions to support ‘proof-of-concept’ development.
Maintain a ‘learn fast’ attitude with a focus on quickly progressing through a concept phase.
Be involved in concept design, brainstorming, research, etc. required to create new concepts for consideration.
Assume a design/architecture lead role for back-end cloud and overall solution development. Provide leadership and mentoring to other developers
Provide continuous feedback and idea generation for improved product development
Identify and develop opportunities for patents and intellectual property
The Sr. Cloud Software Developer will lead in the design, architecture, and prototyping of proof-of-concept intrusion detection systems and will also participate in other critical activities such as difficult problem solving, research into new important technologies, etc.
Moderate supervision with a requirement to highlight problems and help in finding solutions
Occasional Domestic and International Travel Required
Will follow workplace EHS procedures and maintain a safety workplace
Report all workplace accidents and incidents to your manager
Will work toward achieving environmental and sustainability goals for the site

Qualifications

Significant direct experience (3+ years) and expertise in software development with cloud-based systems.
Extensive experience with building RESTful APIs and deploying Cloud Services. Experience in multiple cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc).
Experience with connected devices/IOT (protocols, environments, ecosystems), analytics, big data, or deep learning/AI is desired.
Experience with developing serverless solutions leveraging Managed IoT solution offerings is preferred.
Experience in Big Data technologies (e.g. Storm, Spark, Kafka, Flume etc.) is a plus
Excellent problem solving skills. Most of the problems that the team will be responsible for solving will be the most challenging type without cookbook solutions. Ability to apply innovative thinking and exploration of non-traditional ideas in solving business problems. Adapts readily to changing work demands; maintains composure under pressure.
A team player with a strong group and organizational identity. Must be collaborative and inclusive.
