Our client is seeking a skilled Software Test Engineer to join their team and work on the development and execution of test strategies for software products. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing Test and Evaluation (T&E) strategies, Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs), Event Test Plans (ETPs), Test Readiness Assessments (TRAs), and T&E Reports. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in software testing, a deep understanding of Unix, and experience in test automation and scripting.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute T&E strategies and plans for software products
- Design and implement Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs)
- Develop and execute Event Test Plans (ETPs)
- Conduct Test Readiness Assessments (TRAs) to ensure software products are ready for testing
- Create T&E Reports to document test results and findings
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues
- Develop and maintain automated testing scripts
- Develop and execute manual testing scripts
- Document defects and report them to the development team
- Participate in all aspects of the software development life cycle (SDLC)
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
Strong background in software testing - Experience designing and implementing Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs)
- Experience developing and executing Event Test Plans (ETPs)
- Experience conducting Test Readiness Assessments (TRAs)
- Strong understanding of Unix
- Experience with test automation and scripting
- Familiarity with SDLC processes
