Sr. Optical Engineer

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Optical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing complex high-volume products in AR/VR, MEMS, and silicon-based sensors.

Role:

• Design and develop optical systems and components for complex high-volume products
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that optical systems and components are integrated effectively with other systems
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors
• Develop and maintain documentation and standards for optical systems and components
• Conduct feasibility studies and perform optical simulations to evaluate system performance
• Design experiments and conduct tests to validate optical system and component performance
• Analyze test results and provide recommendations for design improvements
  Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in optical technologies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Optical Engineering or a related field
• Experience in optical engineering
• Strong understanding of optical principles and design of optical systems and components
• Experience with AR/VR, MEMS, and silicon-based sensors
• Proficient in optical design software, such as Zemax or Code V
• Familiarity with optical simulation software, such as FRED or LightTools
• Knowledge of optical testing equipment and techniques
