When you register and create a STEM Social account, you can choose to stay anonymous by providing only your first name, or even a nickname. Members can post career updates and STEM News to their activity feed, connect with and follow other members, create/join private groups, and send and receive private messages. Each member has total control over their privacy, including all posts, activity feed, messages, groups, and notifications. Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Stemta Talent Network

Signing up on Stemta.com will create a Member profile. All Members have total control over their privacy. You can choose to select Public, Private, or Only Me/Hidden when creating a post or group. Other Members can request to connect with you, allowing them to send you private messages, view your activity feed, and to tag you in their activity feed. When creating a group you can choose to make group Public, Private, or Hidden. To increase your privacy Stemta does not require your last name. All posts are self moderated by those who see it, and will be removed for a review by administration after 5 members report or block your content, and your account is subject to removal at the discretion of Stemta Corporation. Members can request an export of all their data at any time, and can delete their account at any time via the Stemta Corporation Privacy Policy.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely via our Privacy Policy. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
