Data Engineering Manager – Azure

As a Data Engineering Manager with expertise in Azure, you will lead a team of data engineers and be responsible for managing the design, development, and implementation of data engineering solutions on the Azure platform. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to understand business requirements and ensure that the data engineering solutions developed are aligned with business objectives. Your role will involve managing the team’s work and ensuring they have the resources and support they need to deliver high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of data engineers responsible for the design, development, and implementation of data engineering solutions on the Azure platform.
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the organization’s data landscape and business requirements to ensure that data engineering solutions align with business objectives.
• Lead the development of data pipelines, data integration solutions, and data transformation processes on Azure.
• Ensure that the team follows best practices for data engineering and adheres to established standards and guidelines.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to identify data engineering needs and provide solutions to meet those needs.
• Manage project timelines and ensure that the team delivers high-quality solutions on time and within budget.
• Identify opportunities for automation and optimization of data engineering processes.
• Manage the team’s resources and provide coaching and mentoring to support their professional development.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  At least 5 years of experience in data engineering with a focus on Azure.
• Experience leading a team of data engineers and managing data engineering projects.
• Strong understanding of Azure data engineering services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Cosmos DB.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or Scala.
• Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the organization.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to develop innovative solutions.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
