We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for creating power electronics assemblies, wire harness assemblies, defining mechanical assembly structures, designing thermal cooling architectures, and developing sheet metal and machined components. You will play a crucial role in selecting off-the-shelf mechanical and electro-mechanical components to integrate into the design.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop power electronics assemblies and wire harness assemblies.
  • Define mechanical assembly structures and create thermal cooling architectures to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Develop sheet metal and machined components that meet design requirements and manufacturing constraints.
  • Select appropriate off-the-shelf mechanical and electro-mechanical components for integration into the overall design.
  • Perform detailed CAD design work using SolidWorks 3D modeling software.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, manufacturing engineers, and project managers.
  • Hands-on involvement in prototype building, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Generate and maintain accurate engineering documentation, including design specifications, drawings, and reports.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in power electronics and mechanical engineering.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D modeling software.
  • Strong understanding of power electronics and thermal management principles.
  • Experience in designing sheet metal and machined components.
  • Knowledge of wire harness assembly design and integration.
  • Familiarity with selecting off-the-shelf mechanical and electro-mechanical components.
  • Hands-on experience in prototype building, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
