Wind Turbine Technician

Our client is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Wind Turbine Technician to join their team. As a Wind Turbine Technician, you will play a crucial role in the operation, maintenance, and repair of wind turbines at our renewable energy facilities. The ideal candidate must be safety-oriented, possess a valid driver’s license, and be willing to undergo specific training courses and obtain a Class A CDL with an air brake endorsement.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Wind Turbine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on wind turbine equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
2. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with wind turbines.
3. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
4. Training: Complete and pass required training courses, including core safety training, climbing, and other relevant certifications.
5. Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain specialized tools and equipment used in wind turbine maintenance.
6. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including equipment logs and inspection reports.
7. Emergency Response: Respond to emergency situations and breakdowns, ensuring rapid and safe resolution.

Qualifications:

• Possession of a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Proof of insurance coverage for the vehicle used for work-related travel.
• Willingness and ability to pass core safety, climbing, and other required training courses.
• Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy equipment and climb wind turbine towers.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Additional Requirement:

• Willingness to obtain a Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with an air brake endorsement, if not already possessed.
