Chemical Engineer

Seeking a Chemical Engineer to join our growing team in Nashville and develop innovative plastic products. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including material scientists, mechanical engineers, and product managers, to design and develop plastic products for a range of applications.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop plastic products, including thermoplastics, thermosets, and elastomers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify product requirements, specifications, and design constraints
- Perform feasibility studies and simulations to evaluate design options and optimize product performance
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for plastic products
- Conduct testing and analysis to validate product designs and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Participate in the development of product documentation, including user manuals, design specifications, and test plans
- Support the transfer of product designs to manufacturing and provide technical guidance to production teams
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends related to plastics engineering and manufacturing
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of experience in plastics engineering and manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of plastic material properties, processing, and characterization
- Familiarity with CAD software, such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD
- Experience in designing and optimizing plastic manufacturing processes, such as injection molding and extrusion
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to plastics engineering and manufacturing, such as ISO 9001 and ASTM
