Cybersecurity Engineer

Location: Dallas, Texas (3 days a week in office)
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team in Dallas, Texas. As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will play a crucial role in protecting our organization’s digital assets and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our information systems. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop and implement security measures to safeguard our infrastructure and data.
Responsibilities:
Security Infrastructure Management:
- Administer and maintain security infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus solutions.
- Monitor security alerts and respond to security incidents promptly.
Vulnerability Management: - Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate security risks.
- Implement patches and updates to address vulnerabilities.
Security Policy and Compliance:
- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
Incident Response:
- Investigate security incidents, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Develop incident response plans and lead incident response efforts when necessary.
Security Awareness Training:
- Conduct security awareness training for employees to promote a culture of security.
Security Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of security incidents, actions taken, and security configurations.
- Create and update security documentation and reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as a Cybersecurity Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and principles.
- Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Experience with security tools and technologies, including firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ are a plus.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Base Salary Max:: 175000
