Technical Director

We are looking for a skilled Technical Director who will be responsible for the video source switching of live or recorded fast-paced news, entertainment, talk, and sports programs, as well as daily pre-production sessions, special programs, and remotes as assigned.

The ideal candidate should be knowledgeable and experienced in live television production, and have a strong background in Avid iNEWS, Dalet, and ENPS.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the video source switching during live or recorded fast-paced news, entertainment, talk, and sports programs
• Conduct daily pre-production sessions to ensure that all equipment is functioning properly and that all necessary crew members are present and prepared
• Operate and maintain production equipment, including cameras, switchers, audio consoles, and graphics systems
• Communicate effectively with the production team, including the director, producer, and camera crew
• Work with the director to develop and execute show rundowns and timing
• Prepare for and execute special programs and remotes as assigned
• Maintain a high level of proficiency in Avid iNEWS, Dalet, ENPS, and other production software
• Ensure compliance with all safety and technical protocols

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcasting, Communications, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in live television production
• Strong knowledge and proficiency in Avid iNEWS, Dalet, and ENPS
• Experience with video source switching, camera operation, and audio mixing
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to television production
