R&D Scientist Food Science
We are seeking a skilled and innovative R&D Scientist with a focus on Food Science to join our dynamic research and development team. As an R&D Scientist, you will play a vital role in the creation and maintenance of formulations, specifications, processes, and testing procedures related to our food products. Your expertise will contribute to the development of new and improved food products, ensuring quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
- Formulation Development: Create and optimize food product formulations, considering factors such as taste, texture, nutritional content, stability, and shelf life.
- Specification Management: Establish and maintain detailed specifications for ingredients, raw materials, and finished products. Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
- Process Optimization: Improve and streamline manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain product quality.
- Testing Procedures: Develop and implement testing protocols and procedures to evaluate the sensory, physical, chemical, and microbiological characteristics of food products. Analyze and interpret data to drive informed decisions.
- Research and Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and scientific advancements in food science. Apply research findings to enhance product development and solve technical challenges.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, quality assurance, and production, to ensure smooth execution of projects and successful product launches.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of experimental procedures, results, and observations. Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate findings effectively.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, labeling requirements, and industry standards. Stay informed about changes in regulations and adapt formulations and processes accordingly.
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in food product development, preferably in a research and development environment.
- Strong knowledge of food chemistry, ingredient functionality, and food processing techniques.
- Familiarity with food safety and quality management systems.
- Proficient in conducting sensory evaluations and utilizing statistical analysis for data interpretation.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and labeling standards for food products.
