We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Research Associate to join our innovative research team focused on RNA editing therapeutic discovery. As a Senior Research Associate, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our cutting-edge research in molecular biology and high-throughput screening to identify potential RNA editing therapies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking research and make a significant impact in the field of RNA therapeutics.

Responsibilities:

  1. RNA Editing Therapeutic Discovery: Collaborate with the research team to design and execute experiments aimed at identifying and characterizing RNA editing targets for potential therapeutic interventions.
  2. Molecular Biology: Conduct molecular biology techniques such as RNA isolation, PCR, qRT-PCR, and cloning to study RNA editing events and their functional consequences.
  3. High-Throughput Screening: Develop and implement high-throughput screening assays to identify compounds or molecules that modulate RNA editing processes.
  4. Cell Culture and Transfection: Cultivate and maintain cell lines, perform transfections, and establish stable cell lines for RNA editing studies.
  5. Data Analysis: Analyze experimental data using appropriate statistical methods and bioinformatics tools. Present findings to the research team and contribute to data-driven decision-making.
  6. Literature Review: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in RNA editing and related therapeutic approaches to inform research strategies.
  7. Assay Development: Optimize and validate various assays for assessing RNA editing efficiency and therapeutic potential.
  8. Documentation: Maintain detailed laboratory notebooks, write technical reports, and contribute to the preparation of scientific publications and patents.
  9. Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to support various research projects and participate in scientific discussions and brainstorming sessions.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field. A Ph.D. is preferred but not required.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in RNA editing research, molecular biology techniques, and high-throughput screening.
  • Proficiency in various molecular biology techniques, including RNA manipulation and analysis, PCR, qRT-PCR, and gene cloning.
  • Experience in developing and conducting high-throughput screening assays, preferably using automated platforms.
  • Knowledge of RNA biology and experience with RNA editing technologies is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with bioinformatics tools and data analysis methods for high-throughput screening data.
