We are seeking a highly experienced Sr Manager of Accounting Research to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the company’s accounting research function, including SEC reporting, 10k and 10q filings, and FASB pronouncements. The Sr Manager will also manage a team of accounting professionals and work closely with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the company’s accounting research function, including SEC reporting, 10k and 10q filings, and FASB pronouncements.
  • Manage a team of accounting professionals, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance feedback as needed.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including legal, treasury, and investor relations, to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Research and interpret complex accounting issues and provide guidance to internal stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date on relevant accounting standards and regulations, including changes to SEC rules and regulations.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and other financial disclosures.
  • Participate in the development of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Communicate with external auditors and other stakeholders to address accounting-related questions and issues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on SEC reporting and research.
  • Thorough understanding of US GAAP and SEC regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of FASB pronouncements and accounting standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate complex accounting issues to non-accounting stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
    Strong leadership and mentorship skills.
  • Experience with financial reporting software preferred.
